It has been 3 months since 'Hotty Rowdy Sunny Baby' was last updated. How time flies... *Woof!*
Even though it has only been 3 months, but in my eyes, Sunny sure has grown quite a bit. I do not mean physically (except that there is a slight increase in his weight), but Sunny's psychological behaviour sure tells a lot of difference.
Did you know that chocolates are meant to be poisonous to dogs? But I guess this does not apply to Sunny boy, huh?
There were a couple of occassions whereby Sunny would go around hunting for chocolate cakes in my brother's gym bag... So there was once where the cramps of the chocolate cake were dropped all over my brother's bed. And there was another time where Sunny made a mess all over the dining room, and he just wouldn't let go of the chocolate cake plastic bag, so I have got no choice but to bite slightly on his ears, but at the end of the day, I suffered 2 bite marks on my neck with blood flowing down from the bite marks...
Then there was another incident, I wasn't sure of what happened exactly though, but after I came back from Bugis on a fine Saturday afternoon, Sunny was hiding under the dining table. And guess what? He finished a bar of Mars chocolate!! Oh gosh~!
So after all these incidents, we were extra careful of where we keep our chocolate bars and etc, so it will remain out of reach to Sunny. Also, in order to satisfy his fondness of chocolates, I managed to get a packet of chocolate chips meant only for dogs.
Apart from chocolates, Sunny is basically interested in almost all food stuffs which we are consuming too.
There was once where we were having roasted duck and roasted pork for lunch. I guess the aroma of the roasted meat is making it too delicious for Sunny to reject trying the good food... So as we all have more or less finished our meal, cleared our bowls and went away, Sunny actually jumped up to the table and started eating the rice remaining from my sister's bowl!! Tsk tsk~! Bad boy, Sunny! Bad boy!
After this happening incident, we always make sure that there's always someone at the dining table watching out for Sunny when there's food on the table.
As Sunny is born a Terrier, there is no doubt that Sunny is a very good watch dog. I guess, he's just way too good! Even the slightest sound from the park downstairs, Sunny would start barking and howling.
Sunny actually left a 3cm scar on my left arm recently...so I guess I won't have to describe what would happen if there's some one at the door, do I?
Last week, I booked an appointment with a Dog Salon at Jurong East for Sunny's grooming session. This was the 4th official full gromming session for Sunny since he came over to my place in July 2007. And the reason for choosing a Salon at Jurong East instead of going back to the one at Teban Garden?
Cut cost on Taxi fares~
So my mum and I walked Sunny all the way from our place (Jurong West) to Jurong East, and that was basically 6 bus stops away, and we took about 45 minutes to walk there. In between we went Giant to buy a couple of items... After Sunny's grooming session, we walked another 6 bus stops back home, but this time, carrying Sunny in his bag + shampoo, toothpaste, flour, bath foam, etc.
It sure is a great day of workout!
Before Sunny's grooming, he looks kind of messy:

After Sunny's gromming, he looks like this
(P.S. Do pardon the hair in front of his eyes...):

Sunny sure is of show dog's quality!
Check out his shiny coat:

There was even a day in April where I drove Sunny to NP and brought him to Alpha Centre. Minus our Alpha Centre Manager, Sunny sure is popular over there~ He he...
It's Vesak Day! Thekchen Choling (Singapore) has an event whereby we can bring our pets along to be blessed by Lama Dorje. I have already decided to bring Sunny down to the temple for the blessing a week ago, but I was troubled because the temple is located at 2 Beatty Lane. But luckily, Sunny didn't suffer from car sickness throughout the whole journey.
When we were at the temple, there were people who brought their dogs, cats, rabbits, and even hamsters! And we saw Constance Song with 2 of her Yorkies too! Uh-huh~ Yorkshire Terriers!
Then suddenly, there was a Golden Retriever (GR) dashing across the road! The GR actually came off leash and as he was dashing across the road, there was an oncoming car, luckily the car managed to stop in time to prevent any accident from happening. After the car drove away, the GR even lie down in the middle of the road! The owner was so shocked and lost, but he has got no choice but to carry the full grown GR back to the temple... Sweat!
Preparing to set off to the temple:

After the blessing ceremony, we were sort of having fun...taking photos:

After the event at the temple, we brought Sunny to the Dog Run at West Coast Park.
The Dog Run area, minus some inconsiderate owners who doesn't clean up after their dogs, it's quite a nice place to bring your furball to interact with the other dogs around. We recce around the area and find it quite comfortable, hence we decided to let Sunny go off-leash to interact with the rest of the dogs and let him run around.
Recce around the place:

I bet Sunny sureee had fun! Woo-hoo~
FYI, Recce (pronounced "recky") is a word used in media production, derived from "reconnaissance", a general military term.
